Trash in the oceans
I have just returned from a snorkeling vacation with a new first hand view of how our oceans are being trashed. The area was full of beautiful reefs.
After my first outing I made sure to take a trash bag with me so I could pick up the trash on the reefs. Plastic bags, plastic bottles, and lot's of food wrappers were the main items I found. I then began to walk along the beach and found there was even more trash there. I decided to spend an hour each day picking up trash along the beaches as well as the trash in the water.
It was a wake up call to see how much trash there is in our oceans.
We really need to come together in cleaning up, as well as preventing this situation. So take the time to pick up some garbage and dispose of it properly. Our ocean's need our help! We want to see sights like this. Not a bunch of trash killing the marine life.
