Saw a Gray Whale spouting off our Newport Coast

We saw a Gray Whale spouting a couple of days ago off of Newport Coast in Newport Beach. Now is the time of year when we see a lot of Gray Whales passing along our coast. They are migrating from Alaska down to Baja to mate and give birth. Then they head back to Alaska to feed. We see them between December and April. Gray Whales have the longest migration of any mammal. They have a 10,000 to 12,000 mile migration (round trip).
