We have been coming across some small Sea Hares lately. I found this one on the beach, quite high up from the water. My best guess as to how it got there is that it was on a holdfast and someone dragged the kelp up to play with. I took the little guy back to the tidepools. On the way some people wanted to see what I had in my hand. The poor little Sea Hare must have frightened by the noise and inked me. It also tried to squeeze between my fingers to hide. Now it is in the tidepools where it belongs. Please do not handle any animals in the tidepools. This was a rescue to return the Sea Hare to the tidepools.
