The different Sea Stars we see in the tidepools

We have a few different Sea Stars in the tidepools. Everyone loves a star!  The most common one we see is the Ochre Star. They are the largest and most commonly spotted on our tours. Bat Stars are not as common. They tend to be out deeper in the tidepools. We rarely see Brittle Stars. The best chance at seeing them is during a very low, or minus tide. They move quickly and hide under rocks making it a special treat when we spot one. The Knobby Star is the rarest of them all. I have only seen one in the tidepools. Here is a look at the different “Stars of the pools”.
