Norris Top snail

The Norris Top snail is easy to spot due to the color and shape of their shell. They have a brown orange tint on the round shell. The snail is black with a red stripe along the bottom. They are kelp eating snails that spend most of their lives in the kelp forests. They feed on the fronds and stipes. We often see them  in the tidepools. We also see hermit crabs using the empty shells for housing.
