Snowy Egret

The Snowy Egret is a frequent sight at the tidepools. Their bright white plumage makes them easy to spot. They will stroll slowly from pool to pool looking for food. Once they spot a fish they will freeze with their neck pulled back. Then as fast as a whip they stab their prey. They have long black legs and yellow feet. You can also find them in  estuaries stalking prey in the marshes. They are so beautiful.
