The two spot octopus is a great treat to see in the tidepools. They are masters of camouflage so finding them is difficult. If you do see one watch as it moves around. It will change color and texture to blend in to its surroundings. They change in 5 seconds. They are very intelligent and will study you as closely as you are studying them. They should never be handled. They have a have mucus layer on their skin that protects them for bacteria. They are one of my all time favorite animals in the tidepools.
